私たちの物語は、遠く離れた場所との、一つのSNS投稿から始まりました。
東北の地で、ダンボールクラフト作家トモヲ氏が生み出す、愛らしいネコたち。その魅力に画面越しに心惹かれたのが、ここ福岡にいる私たちでした。

メールだけのやり取りで、まだ顔を合わせたことさえありません。
けれど「作る喜びを、もっとたくさんの人に届けたい」という共通の想いが、私たちを強く結びつけました。板猫屋は、そんなオンラインの出会いから生まれたブランドです。

お客様から頂いた声をヒントに、九州・大川の木材を活かした『ITANEKO』や『HAKONEKO』が、ここ福岡で生まれました。東北の独創的なデザインと、九州のものづくりの心が融合した作品たちです。

世代を超えて楽しめる温かい時間。
板猫屋は、人と人、そして地域と地域をも繋ぐ、そんなクラフト体験を目指しています。

Welcome to Itanekoya!

From our workshop in Fukuoka, Japan, we deliver a special crafting experience, transforming a single sheet of material into a unique story—right in your hands.

Our story began with a single social media post, connecting two distant corners of Japan.
In the Tohoku region, craft artist Tomo'o was creating charming cats from cardboard. Here in Fukuoka, hundreds of kilometers away, we were captivated by his work online.

Our entire collaboration has been through email; we have yet to even meet in person.
But a shared passion to "bring the joy of creation to more people" connected us deeply. Itanekoya is a brand born from this modern, digital friendship.

Inspired by our customers' feedback, we developed new products here in Fukuoka. This is where creative design from Tohoku meets the spirit of craftsmanship from Kyushu—like our ITANEKO and HAKONEKO kits, which use upcycled wood from our local Okawa furniture town.

We aim to offer a heartwarming experience that connects not only generations, but also people and places.
